Eric Bachran is a Chief Engineer at SYRDEC, working with Machine Learning (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) technologies to enhance development and acquisition processes in military and commercial applications. Eric is currently working on Safire, an application designed to provide increased automation to early stage program processes including requirements engineering and ROM cost estimation.

Eric has been with SYRDEC for 5 years and has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and defense industries. He has led the system integration/installation efforts for multiyear, multimillion-dollar satellite communications gateway installations and flight line electronic warfare test equipment. Eric holds a BS in Computer Science from Cornell University and an MS in Computer Science from SUNY/Stony Brook. In his free time he is an avid soccer player.
